As a recent graduate from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Lauren brings a fresh and passionate approach to The Gonzales Law Firm, a dynamic personal injury trial law practice founded alongside her father and brother. During law school, Lauren demonstrated remarkable leadership and academic excellence, serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, Vice President of the Class of 2024, and President of the Hispanic Law Students Association. Lauren graduated summa cum laude, a testament to her dedication and expertise in the field.
Lauren is distinguished not only by her academic credentials but also by her compelling advocacy skills. She was a vital member of the national mock trial team, clinching the first-ever ABOTA Best in Texas Voir Dire competition and earning the title of Most Professional Advocate two consecutive years. These accolades contributed to her induction into the prestigious Order of the Barristers, recognizing her superior skills in trial advocacy.
Beyond the courtroom, Lauren is an active member of both the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston and the Mexican American Bar Association of Houston, reflecting a deep commitment to the community and to promoting diversity within the legal profession.
Prior to pursuing a legal degree, Lauren dedicated 12 years to serving as a civil trial paralegal, where she developed a deep compassion for clients navigating the complexities of the legal system. This extensive hands-on experience not only equipped Lauren with a robust understanding of legal procedures but also instilled a strong commitment to client advocacy, ensuring that each individual receives attentive and empathetic legal support. This foundation of practical skills and client-centered focus was pivotal in Lauren’s transition to law school and continues to define her approach at The Gonzales Law Firm.
Lauren is a member of the Texas State Bar, the Corpus Christi Bar Association, and the Coastal Bend Women Lawyers Association.
